I'm a passionate Photographer!

My name is Elsa Joy. I am the photographer and owner of Elsa Joy Photography.

 

I always loved shooting photos for as long as I can remember. 

 

So much so that at the early age of 14 I started to work in a One hour photo lab in Bronx New York where I learned how develop films in the dark and negatives in a machine. 

 

I remember attending the Kodak and Fuji seminars and conventions in Manhattan where I learned so much.  It helped me further pursue my love for photography. 

 

Once in college a took a few classes but never pursued it further than that till now. 

 

I had to take a break to raise my three kids but now that they are all big I decided to go back to my passion and love of photography. 

 

I just love how photos tell their own story with out words as well how it freezes time. 

 

I believe in photographing naturally, capturing emotions and personality all the while creating memories for generations to enjoy. Elsa Joy’s Photography is just starting to built up however I've been photographing since I was in my teens. Since I can remember my passion has been behind the camera taking pictures and letting them tell the story. I Love pictures because they capture moments and things that the naked eye may miss. Whether it may be a special event you want me to capture, your baby bump, your babies first pictures, Graduation/Glamour shots, pets or just for fun. I’m here to do just that. Those who know me always know that I have a camera on hand.

 

I’m comfortable going on location photographing where ever I’m needed. I've learned several accolades from on line programs and by taking what I’ve learned and putting it into use. It is important for me that my clients feel relaxed and comfortable during the photography session. To that end, I will work without avail to capture those precious moments that mean most to you or the portraits that you will love.

 

When doing a baby session I allow time for diaper changes, feedings and emotional support of the little ones.

 

I like what is real. I like shooting wide open. I like big catch lights. I like dimples and freckles. I like to rock & roll and my clients seem to always turn into my friends. My approach is lifestyle meets rock star meets fashion/editorial, and more.I take Lifestyle, Portraiture, Performance, Editorial, Natural Light, Low Light, and even cover events (weddings, Sweet-sixteen, quinciańera, baptisms ect.), it's up to you what you want me to capture and build your memories on.

 

I currently work full time in Logistics and now giving into my passion for photography and starting Elsa Joy’s Photography part time and for this reason I'm available for bookings on weekdays in the evenings and all day during Saturdays and Sundays by appointments.

 

I believe the role of the photographer in our world is a powerful one. The photographer documents our human journey, informs us, captures our essence and fills our world with his or her creations. It tells a story without words.

 

When I'm not going "click, clck, clicking away" you may find me spending time with my husband and three wonderful kids.
